The Sacred War / La Guerra Sagrada

      The war as matter, inevitably, is linked to the Conquest of Mexico so I think interesting share with you the next Mexica poem which sing to It bind together with religión. I must to point that the Tenochca people had in great importance the War because It was a form of social economy.


THE SACRED WAR

Rise the smoke fire!
The shields roar!
The Sleigh-Bell-God!
There the Enemy wave their flowers;
Eagles and Jaguars rise their roars!

Prove the friendship,
kind to the men.
Wave the flames, Yellow is the dust:
the flowers sprout Red
opening their corolla, spread for everywhere.

Over the War dyed water
are the Butterfly-house shield:
with darts is reading,
the Divine-flowers book of pictures
Motecuhzoma in Mexico:
exchange the sustenance for sacrifices.

Oh Eagle-god, whom in your house rule:
with darts is reading,

      Como el tema de la conquista de México irremediablemente está vinculada al la guerra considero interesante compartir con vosotros uno de los poemas mexica que canta a esta y su vínculo con lo religioso. LA GUERRA SAGRADA

¡El humo de la hoguera!
¡Rugen los escudos!
¡El dios de los cascabeles!
¡Allí tremola sus flores el Enemigo;
estruendo hacen los Águilas y los Jaguares!

Demuestra amistad,
gracioso a ojos de los hombres.
Ondulan las llamas, amarillece el polvo:
rojas las flores brotan,
abriendo sus corolas, se esparcen por doquier.

Sobre el agua teñida de guerra
está el escudo casa de la mariposa:
con dardos lee,
las pinturas de los libros de divinas flores
Moctezuma en México:
el sustento cambió por sacrificios.
